My Favourite Make-Up Brushes

First of all, I want to apologise for the awful picture, my camera broke in June last year

and I've been too lazy to get it fixed! Will be getting that done pronto!

Now on to the review! As a naive 13 year old I used to apply make-up with my finger and the sponge tip eyeshadow applicators. I then discovered brushes and never looked back! Here are just a few of my current favourites..

1. As one of my most recent purchases (3 days to be exact), I have fallen in love! After applying my foundation I go over it again with this and it buffs my foundation up and leaves such a nice finish on the skin. I find it helps my foundation give that little extra coverage and the bristles are so soft!

2. I bought this on an impulse and after about an hour of placing my order online I regretted it. When my order arrived and I first used it I was pleasantly surprised! It's great for shading and adding depth, so glad I bought it now!

3. Although this is an eyeshadow brush I use mine for concealer. I don't like applying concealer with my fingers and with other brushes I found they sort of rubbed off my foundation instead of helping to provide extra coverage. With this brush I find it get all my blemishes and under my eye perfectly and it's definitely a staple item I need in my make-up bag.

4. I bought this on a bit of a whim at the beauty show in Birmingham after buying some glitter cram palettes. It's great for putting on a base and, like the 239, shading and adding depth. The bristles are so soft and for £5.50 you can't go wrong!

5. Again, only buying this a few days ago I can't believe how much I love it! I haven't owned a contour brush before now, I just used whatever I could find in my make-up drawers, and I don't think I'll ever look back. The bristles are so soft and the brush fits perfectly in to the hollows of my cheeks allowing me to create the perfect look!

6. I was a bit skeptical about stippling brushes but I thought I'd give this ago. I found with my Mac 190 brush that my foundation either looked piled on and streaky or not there at all. This brush allows me to build up coverage without looking too piled on. I found that it keeps my foundation looking dewy as opposed to other brushes I have used. I find it just gives me the 'airbrushed' finish I wanted and although the price is more than I would want to spend on a brush, it was worth every penny!
